Lili Schaap is the owner and head designer at Floral Design by Lili, an Abbotsford based wedding & event floral design studio, also serving the greater Vancouver region.

Since childhood, Lili had always enjoyed working with her hands in creative endeavours, whether in painting, drawing, or crafting.  An appreciation for flowers and plants and a love of gardening developed over the years into a passion to work with flowers daily.

Lili's career as a floral designer and stylist began in 2009 with the gift of Paula Pryke’s Flower School: Mastering the Art of Floral Design book from her daughter, Sarah. Seeing how gifted a gardener her mother was and appreciating her unique flower arrangements and groupings, Sarah gently encouraged her mother to take her talents to the next level. 

Lili began by studying a number of floristry courses around the world. She also spent several years working in local busy floral shop before starting Floral Design by Lili In 2011.

With time, Lili honed her skill set into arrangements that are elegant, distinctive and rooted in the natural beauty of organic forms.

Her unique wedding flower arrangements draw inspiration from her background in art and design considering colour, texture and balance.  Lili works with each client to combine their personal interests and style with her skills and vision, resulting in a beautiful setting for each wedding day. It is a personal goal for Lili to make a clients wedding dreams come true.

Lili is grateful to her family and her beautiful daughter for helping her embark on this amazing career.
